AMIRA International faces an exciting but demanding period, says new Managing Director Joe Cucuzza.
“We have a wonderful pipeline of projects, capable of delivering impressive technical advances leading to real commercial benefits” he said. “Our challenge now is twofold – to manage delivery of these projects in the most efficient manner and to identify further opportunities which will allow member companies to leverage their research investment.”
AMIRA International celebrates its fiftieth year of service to the mineral industry. Friday 24 July marked the 50th anniversary of a meeting convened at the Headquarters of the AusIMM at which AMIRA was inaugurated by the then leaders of the Australian minerals industry.
The basis of collaborative research is to minimise the cost to each sponsor (ie maximise leverage) in order to solve important problems common to a specific group. This is particularly valuable in financially difficult times such as we are experiencing today.
The 2012 Operations Review provides a comprehensive report of our activities and project developments. The 2012 Financial Information provides a comprehensive financial report for AMIRA.
