"Exciting times ahead", says new AMIRA chief
AMIRA International faces an exciting but demanding period, says new Managing Director Joe Cucuzza.   “We have a wonderful pipeline of projects, capable of delivering impressive technical advances leading to real commercial benefits” he said. “Our challenge now is twofold – to manage delivery of these projects in the most efficient manner and to identify further opportunities which will allow member companies to leverage their research investment.”   Joe Cucuzza takes up the position on July 1, replacing Dr Wayne Stange who has taken up a senior role with JKMRC.
Mr Cucuzza is well known to most AMIRA International members and to many researchers, having managed the Exploration, Mining and Sustainability Division for several years and having initiated and managed a series of geoscience research projects and important road maps over many years.   Announcing the appointment at a recent sponsors meeting of AMIRA’s iconic project P9, Chairman Dr Neville Plint said he looked forward to Joe Cucuzza developing AMIRA International into a more effective organisation and cementing AMIRA’s role as a research broker for all its stakeholders.
